Bsc Biochemistry course was started during the academic year 1998-99 as a
self financing course, with Nutrition and Chemistry as complementary
subjects. The first batch begins with an intake of 20 students. So far,
13 batches of students have successfully completed their UG course. The
course was approved in 2013. Ever since its launch, the department has
been securing top ranks in exams conducted by the University. The
discipline of Biochemistry follows CBCS syllabus and holds seminars and
workshops at regular intervals. The department has a well equipped lab
and a rich library which offers students access to as many as 700
scholastic books. It is with immense pleasure that we acknowledge the
fact that over the years, dozens of students have passed out of this
prestigious department and reached enviable heights making the
institution proud.
